MALE BREAST SURGERY

What is Gynaecomastia Surgery?

BREAST AUGMENTATION

What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast Augmentation (or Augmentation Mammoplasty) is a surgical procedure in which breast implants are placed beneath your normal breast tissue or beneath the pectoral muscle to increase your breast size and give you fuller breasts. Breast Augmentation Surgery can have a positive effect on self-image and self-confidence, making it one of the most popular cosmetic procedures offered.

What can I expect?

Breast Augmentation Surgery can be done under conscious sedation or general anaesthesia. The surgery takes about an hour and you may not need time in hospital at all. Recovery is typically one to two weeks.

TUMMY TUCK

What is Abdominoplasty?

Commonly known as a tummy tuck, it’s a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of a flabby tummy. Excessive skin and fatty tissue after pregnancy or weight loss may be difficult to shake simply with diet and exercise. Abdominoplasty can address this problem, helping to give you a flatter, firmer and smoother tummy.

What can I expect?

Excess skin and fat is removed from the lower abdomen and the abdominal muscles are tightened. Liposuction may be combined with Abdominoplasty for an improved abdominal contour.

How is the surgery performed?

An Abdominoplasty is performed under general anaesthesia and a hospital stay of two to three days may be required. Recovery takes roughly three to four weeks.

LIPOSUCTION

What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a surgical procedure to remove stubborn, diet-resistant fat. Areas that can be treated include thighs, hips and buttocks, abdomen and waist, upper arms, back, inner knee, chest, chin and neck. Liposuction is an excellent procedure for slimming and shaping of tough fatty deposits, resulting in a body contour that looks smoother and an improved body image. It can be done alone or in combination with other procedures such as facial surgery, abdominoplasty and breast surgery.

Is it right for me?

If you’ve tried and failed to get rid of unwanted fat in areas such as the lower abdomen and hips, liposuction is an effective solution.

How is the surgery preformed?

Liposuction can be done under general anaesthetic, or local anaesthetic with or without sedation, depending on the volume of liposuction planned. One night in hospital may be required in larger volumes of liposuction. Recovery takes two weeks, but bruising and swelling may take a bit longer to resolve.

Please note: Liposuction does not treat cellulite. Liposuction does not treat obesity.
